Dan Hollister enjoys hiking, drawing, photography and adventure. Dan is adventurous in the kitchen as well; making pizzas with fabulous flavor combinations as well as home-brewed cider, beer and kombucha. A lucky few get to go mushroom foraging with Dan or visit the huge stone cairns he builds in his spare time.

 

“What I love about drawing monsters is being creative. Sometimes I just start with an outline and see where it takes me. I draw in the mornings and evenings, sometimes finishing four or five in a week. When I was a kid, monsters were the only thing I liked to draw. I took a break for about 30 years and then one day just decided to get back into it.”

 

Photography is another passion of Dan’s, coming from his world travel experiences and his eye for detail in his own back yard.
