Newsflash:  today’s world is full of distraction.  While very true, that’s probably not breaking news to anyone.  We have these amazing gadgets that are wonderful tools saving us time and making our lives easier in many ways – but they also create distraction.  A recent study from the University of California calculated that it took people an average of 25 minutes and 26 seconds to get back to work after an interruption.  Intentionally planning focus time helps us get more quality work done by minimizing interruptions and allocating time to truly go ‘deep’ on the task at hand.

Kellogg Sisters Feed & Seed is now accepting applications for our Amy Kellogg Memorial Residency giving artists & people with big ideas uninterrupted time to create.  The one-week residency, open to Kansas residents, is designed to stimulate creativity and innovation.  Come June 11-18, to enjoy focus time, space and support to create while being hosted, feasted and cared for, nestled in the vibrant heart of the Kansas prairie.
